The Quiapo Minor Basilica backs what was the Palace been warning the people and devotees about the terrorist attack during the Feast of the Black Nazarene yesterday, January 9.

Quiapo church rector Monsignor Clemente Ignacio said that the Catholic Church also received letters threatening a terrorist attack during the annual procession of the Black Nazarene in Manila.

The monsignor said that the president canceled his official trip to Davao to meet with the officials of the Catholic Church and organizers and discussed about the attack and made a warning to give extra protection to the throngs of devotees that will flock Quiapo on the said feast.

But despite of the warnings and the threats, the Church still continued what has been an annual ritual of the devotees and hold on to prayers, that it may save many from the attack.
